The South Metro Rose Society will be holding its 32nd Annual Rose Show on May 20-21 at Fayetteville Church of Christ Fellowship Hall at 870 Redwine Rd. Local rose growers are invited to enter their roses into competition. Ribbons and prizes will be awarded. Members of the society will advise newcomers on entering their roses by calling the number below.

Entries must be made at the show site by 9:30 a.m. on May 20 for judging. The show is free to the public from 1-4 p.m. on both days to view, smell, and photograph hundreds of exhibited roses and rose arrangements. Rose bouquets will be sold and there will be an Information Table where questions will be answered by ARS Consulting Rosarians. Items to be raffled include a gold-dipped rose pin, restaurant gift certificates, Pike’s and Autumn Hill Nursery gift certificates, rose bushes, Barnel pruners, custom-blended fertilizers, and more.

South Metro Rose Society is affiliated with the American Rose Society located in Shreveport, LA. SMRS meets on the 4th Monday of Jan-Apr and Aug-Oct at The Heritage Bank at 440 N. Jeff Davis Dr. in Fayetteville. All rose enthusiasts, especially novices, are invited to visit the meetings at no charge. For more information call 770-631-3885.
