Mrs. Mary Herwig, 96, of Sharpsburg passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017. She was born in Ramer, Tenn. on January 28, 1921, to the late James and Charlotte Teague.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Herwig Sr; daughter, Charlotte Ann Williams, and her parents.

She is survived by her daughter, Melinda (Mike) Mihalek of Sharpsburg, Ga.; son, Rick (Rita) Herwig of Spokane, Wash.; grandchildren, Lisa Thompson of Spokane, Wash.,  Matthew Mihalek of Apollo Beach, Fla., and  Kristian Mihaleik of Decatur, Ga.; great grandchildren, Natasha Thompson of Spokane, Wash., Caleb Mihalek of Ft. Benning, Ga., and Nicholas Mihalek of Apollo Beach, Fla.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, with the Reverend Glenn Stringham officiating. Interment will follow at College Park Cemetery, College Park, Ga. The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
