Postal problems persist in PTC

There seems to be no limit to the incompetence and callous attitude displayed by the Post Office in Peachtree City.

If it wasn’t already bad enough receiving mangled mail, misdelivered mail, “normal delivery” anywhere between 10:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m., and our mailbox being left open on a regular basis, it is now too much to take two letters out of our box for normal delivery. (One of the two letters was a misdelivery from the previous day.)

After this early-afternoon failure, I called, asked to speak with the postmaster, and was assured it would be taken care of immediately. I guess I have a different definition of immediate as the mail was still in the box the next morning.

I called early the next morning and left my name, address, and phone number, described the issue, and requested a call-back from the postmaster. That didn’t happen.

Don’t count on customer service improving. Do count on excuses, rationalizations, surly customer service, incompetent supervision, and even more incompetent delivery.

I am not alone as many others in our subdivision have experienced similar issues. We deserve better in Peachtree City. It won’t be from our unaccountable Post Office.
