Haiti mission on tap

Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran’s pastor, Fritz Wiese (above), will lead a team to Haiti Jan. 28 – Feb. 4 under the auspices of The Haiti Timoun (“children’s”) Foundation. Last year a team learned of the staggering needs there and the constructive work of the foundation. Among its five-plus ministries is “Chemen Lavi Miyò,” an 18-month program working with women in extreme poverty in education, accountability, resourcing, and encouragement. This year Wiese will preach at an orphanage for mentally-handicapped children. The team will donate computers and other supplies. To learn more about the foundation, contact Wiese, 770-487-8717.
