James (Jim) Lloyd Chaille, Jr., of Georgetown, Texas, passed away on December 23, 2016 in Round Rock, Texas. He was born December 30, 1930 in Miami, Florida to James Lloyd and Martha Evans Chaille. He was married to Doris Reagin on December l6, 1951 in Macon, Georgia.
James attended the Georgia Institute of Technology where he achieved a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked as Chemical Engineering Manager for Rohm & Haas Company for 40 years in Huntsville, Alabama, Teeside, England, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Houston, Texas before retiring in 1991.
James was a member of The Worship Place in Sun City, Georgetown, Texas, and was of the Methodist faith. He was active in Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City, Ga. and Habitat for Humanity. At Georgia Tech he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and American Chemical Engineering Society. James enjoyed golfing and playing bridge with his wife, Doris. Also he was an avid football fan, both college and professional teams.
James was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Katherine (Richard) Cohen and a son, John (Lydia) Chaille, all of Austin, Texas, and 3 grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home, 5600 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas.
