The period of Dec. 6-12 came with a vehicle theft and three entering auto incidents in Fayetteville. Three people were charged in the crimes.
Amir Armond Cowley, 17, of Riverdale, was charged with theft by taking a motor vehicle, entering auto and theft by receiving, according to Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Mike Whitlow.
Maliq Emeer Boston, 17, of Atlanta, was charged with theft by taking a motor vehicle and entering auto, Whitlow said.
Chareion A. Appling, 17, of Riverdale, was charged with theft by taking a motor vehicle, entering auto and crossing a guardline with marijuana, said Whitlow.
Whitlow said a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche was reported stolen from the Banks Crossing Shopping Center on North Glynn Street at approximately 8 p.m. on Dec. 10. The vehicle was found by officers behind Movies 10 across the roadway at Banks Station.
The three offenders were were located in the Penney’s parking lot and, after an investigation, were charged with entering three vehicles at Banks Station. At least one of the vehicles was unlocked and a wallet was stolen from the floor on the passenger’s side, said Whitlow.
