Chad Alan Buckhalt, 41, of Palmetto, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016.

He is survived by his parents, William Deral & Shirley Buckhalt of Westminster, S.C.  (formerly of Fayetteville);  brother,  Brandon (Lisa) Buckhalt of Canton,  Miss.;  sister, Amanda (Jonathan) Anderson of Westminster, S.C.; nephews, Finn and Evan; nieces, Ava and Elise; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Chad attended Southern Tech University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering technology.  He was employed by Yamaha in Newnan as a product testing engineer for more than 18 years. He worked with a variety of recreational vehicles with a focus on golf carts

Chad was an avid golfer and was able to break par on several courses in the Canongate system, despite never having received lessons.  As a child he had an interest in building and flying RC model airplanes including sailplanes. This interest carried over into adulthood where he began flying RC model helicopters

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 11, from 3 until 5 p.m. at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
