Tennis benefit set for Sept. 24

People You Need to Know Magazine will host a round-robin doubles “Tennis for a Cause” event Saturday, Sept. 24, 6-9 p.m. at the Peachtree City Tennis Center, 10 Planterra Way in Peachtree City.

To participate in this event, just make a donation of any amount at one of the websites below. Phone 770-460-5995 to be placed on the round-robin doubles playlist.

One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit two charities that are doing work in metro Atlanta.

The Motherless Daughters Foundation (www.MotherlessDaughtersFoundation.org) is a nonprofit organization committed to embracing and encouraging the growth and development of young girls entering their adolescent years without the support of their natural birth mothers due to unforeseen circumstances.

The Lisa Woods Washington Foundation, (www.LisaWoodsWashingtonFoundation.org) which honors the memory of Lisa by serving to promote and develop the growth of youth tennis and scholastic achievement.

This event is open to all levels, from beginner to advanced.

“We’re proud to help these two amazing organizations generate much needed funds for their humanitarian efforts,” said event host Anthony “Spark Plug” Thomas, publisher of the magazine and a lifelong tennis player.
