Obama’s swift pathway to a melting pot military

If it’s impossible to reduce a veteran’s ability to own weapons another option may be to reduce the military force. Ergo; the less troops, the less veterans, the less threat. However; is it really a reduction in forces or is the government actually making room for undocumented aliens or non-nationals to replace good American men and woman who have bravely fought and died for this nation?

One of President Obama’s immigration plans is to offer undocumented aliens a swift pathway to citizenship if they elect to join the military. These are people who fled their own country instead of staying to defending it against tyranny. They entered our country illegally, and now will be given the honor to take an oath of allegiance to support and defend the constitution of our nation; possibly against their own country at some point in the future.

To embrace foreign military members the Department of Defense has implemented uniform changes that will authorize turbans, beards, and permit certain individuals the right not to cut their hair. Because of these new regulations we soon may see military operations separated by ethnic factions? Will Muslims refuse to eat at a dining hall with Jewish members or if pork is served?

Our American soldiers will cut their hair to regulation while standing in rank and file next to a Sikh whose religion forbids them to shave or cut their hair? Will the oath of allegiance be administered in Spanish and/or Hindu? Can we be sure this rag tag militia will defend our country as a unit? Does the possibility exist they will desert our country in time of need, fleeing to other countries, once again illegally, in order to avoid the loss of life or limb as so many of our American forces have done while serving our nation?

One other possibility exists, with far reaching ramifications regarding the security of our nation. Combining foreign born enlistees and commissioned officers with different moral and ethnic codes will they even be able to act as one cohesive unit. It’s bad enough our military forces are being weakened through attrition but worse; is the next step to weaken it through internal division of manpower?

The last consideration: is it feasible that our military could slowly morph into a United Nations type force? Eventually, due to an inability of this military to defend our country, we would have to entrust the protection of this once great nation to the responsibility of the United Nations. No President would ever again have to bow to a foreign leader or apologize for the past actions the United States took to defend other nations against the tyranny and attacks by those who wish to destroy or enslave others.

Remember, several times during this administration’s tenure it has put out feelers that would move us towards some forms of United Nations regulatory powers. One of the strongest efforts towards this goal is to have our countries gun control policies in line with the UN. Form your own conclusion.

On that note I leave you to contemplate the future of our country. My oath did not end with my enlistment; if you believe yours did not and what you read here has merit then ask yourself this: do you feel obligated to that oath to reach out to your state legislators and Armed Service Committee?
