All are invited to upcoming events at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City.
Teachers will be blessed at all services Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 20-21. School teachers, preschool teachers, Sunday School teachers, and all others are welcome.
“Tail-gating” will happen at the church before the Saturday worship service on Aug. 20 at 4:30 p.m. Grilled meats and drinks will be provided; those attending are asked to bring tail-gate-style side dishes.
Children and youth will enjoy several events on Wednesday, Aug. 24. High-school and middle-school youth celebrate the new school year with a “beach” party at 6 p.m. at the church. They can try a water slide and other inflatables, and food will be served. This event costs participants $10.
“Music and The Master,” the Wednesday ministry with children, kicks off the new year at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 24. Children in grades 1-5 learn music fundamentals ringing chimes or handbells, and they prepare songs to sing in worship as well as a Christmas musical.
To register a child or get more information, send an email to children@coslutheran.org or call 770-487-8717.
The preschool music group, sKIDdles, resumes Sept. 7.
