The First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City hosted a community prayer vigil for the Orlando victims in the Pulse shooting. The service was attended by over 100 people and was presided by the Rev. Morgan Morse Hay.

The hymn “To a Place of Celebration,” by Carolyn Winfrey Gillette, was written after the mass killings in Orlando and was the special hymn for the event.

In silence and remembrance, a candle was lit for each of the victims of the Orlando shooting, plus a candle for all the unnamed victims of gun violence in the world. The names of each victim were silently prayed for by the congregation.

Music was provided by organist Bill Pasch, pianist Susan Scheuer, and guitarist Brandon McCuin.
