The Fayette County Public Facilities Authority is a volunteer body comprised of three individuals who are appointed by the Fayette County Board of Commissioners to one-year terms.

Some of the duties of the Public Facilities Authority include, but are not limited to, the acquisitions, construction, equipping, maintaining, and operating of buildings and their facilities, and to sell or lease any or all such properties.

The Public Facilities Authority meets infrequently on an as-needed basis, approximately once a year. Those meetings take place at the Fayette County Administrative Complex, 140 Stonewall Avenue West, Suite 100, in Fayetteville.

The Fayette County Board of Commissioners would like to notify interested Fayette County citizens that three positions on the Public Facilities Authority will be available in the coming weeks. The terms for each position will begin July 24, 2016 and will expire July 23, 2017.

The Fayette County Board of Commissioners will be accepting applications with resumes for these positions. Applications can be obtained by contacting Floyd Jones at 770-305-5102 or at [email protected]. All applications must be returned to Jones either by e-mail or at the Fayette County Administrative Complex, 140 Stonewall Avenue West, Suite 100, Fayetteville, GA 30214 by Friday, June 24.
