Carol Kent to speak at FBCPTC
First Baptist Church Peachtree City, will host best-selling author Carol Kent on Thursday, May 19, from 6:30-8 p.m., speaking on “Embracing a New Kind of Normal.” Kent uses her family story, along with the story of Mary, mother of Jesus, and other women who have experienced their own “new normal,” to share how God has led them to choose life, gratitude, vulnerability, involvement, forgiveness, trust, and action. Tickets are $10 per person and childcare will be provided for $5 per child. Register online at www.fbcptc.org.

St. Gabriel’s yard sale is May 20, 21
St. Gabriel Catholic Church and the St. Vincent dePaul Society will have a yard sale Friday, May 20, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday, May 21, from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. at 152 Antioch Rd., Fayetteville (the multi-purpose building next to the church). For more information, call 770-461-0492.

COS changes schedule for summer
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City has changed the worship schedule for  the summer. The contemporary worship service in the Fellowship Hall will now be at 9:45 a.m. The remaining services are unchanged (Saturday at 6 p.m.; Sunday at 8:30 and 11 a.m.). All are invited.

Vietnam vets to be honored
 Members of Liberty Baptist invite the community to participate and attend “The Vietnam War Commemoration Ceremony to Honor Our Vietnam War Veterans” Sunday, May 22,  from 2  – 3:30 p.m., at Liberty Baptist Church in Fayetteville.   Vietnam Veterans who would like to receive a pin and proclamation, may contact Ralph Carson, 404-345-8110.
