Registration is now underway for summer camps offered by the Peachtree City Recreation and Special Events Department.  A variety of sports and creative camps is offered throughout the summer at the Kedron Fieldhouse, located at 202 Fieldhouse Drive, and summer enrichment camps run for seven weeks at the Glenloch Recreation Center, located at 601 Stevens Entry.

Offerings at Kedron include All Sports Fun & Swim, Kedron Kids Basketball Camp, Kedron Little Hoopsters Basketball Camp, Kedron High Hoop Camp, Back 2 Basics Basketball Camp, “Little Diggers” Volleyball Camp, “Gotta Volley” Volleyball Camp, Spanish Immersion Summer Camp, Creative Artist’s Swimming & Art Camp, Playball Summer Camp, Play-Well Lego Camp, Friendship Craze Camp –The Minecraft Way, Acting Craze Camp – Minecraft Style, and “Mind Up” Camp.  Full camp descriptions are available at the Kedron Fieldhouse and online at www.peachtree-city.org/recreation.

The well-rounded summer camp at Glenloch includes arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games, swimming on site, guest speakers, and two awesome field trips per week.  Kids will enjoy the freedom to literally bounce of the walls during the program’s first field trip to SkyZone Trampoline Park and to swing in the trees at a later adventure at Treetop Quest.  Other exciting field trips offer children the opportunity to come face to face with exotic animals at Wild Animal Safari, play an ESPN sportscaster or run for a touchdown at the College Football Hall of Fame, experience wild and wet rides at Six Flags Over Georgia, and so much more!

These camps have been extremely popular and always fill quickly; early registration is strongly recommended.  Registrations are accepted online at www.peachtree-city.org/recreation or in person at the Kedron Fieldhouse, and parents are offered an early bird discount for the Glenloch camps if they register by April 30.

Applications for camp counselor positions are still being accepted.  Applicants must be at least eighteen years old and have experience working with groups of children.  Complete job descriptions and applications are available at www.peachtree-city.org/jobs.
