Local students earn award nominations

ArtsBridge Foundation this week announced the nominations and honorable mentions for the 8th Annual Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards – Shuler Hensley Awards.

Georgia Public Broadcasting will air the Shuler Awards live April 21 at 7:30 p.m.

Here are some local nominees:

Sandy Creek High School – Dreamgirls

Orchestra: John Kelley, honorable mention

Trinity Christian School – Mary Poppins

Best Performance by a Supporting Actress: Delana Reynolds

Show Stopper: Mary Poppins, Step in Time

Whitewater High School – In The Heights

Musical Direction: Richard Prouty

Technical Execution: Savannah Shooter

Best Performance by a Leading Actor: Zach King, honorable mention

Best Performance by a Featured Performer: Jeremy Hathcoat
