Piedmont Fayette Hospital CEO Michael Burnett was the honoree at the 2016 Fayette Golden Eagle Dinner this week.

Burnett, an Eagle Scout himself as well as a den leader and cubmaster, accepted the award in front of his friends and family, saying:

“The Boy Scout oath means so much to me, even today. ‘On my honor, I will do my best. To do my duty to God and my country; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.'”

Burnett thanked his parents and all those involved in scouting for establishing a strong foundation for him. He helps establish a similar foundation for his sons, the scouts he leads and the employees and volunteers at Piedmont Fayette.
