Investigators with the Peachtree City Police Department are searching for suspects involved in a Feb. 3 armed robbery in the parking lot of the Chick-fil-A restaurant in the Kedron Village shopping center.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:13 p.m. on Feb. 3, with Peachtree City Police officers responding to a report of an armed robbery in the parking lot of Chick-fil-a at Kedron Village.
Officers were told than four unknown males confronted three people at gunpoint and possibly displayed knives. The suspects took an iPad, a suitcase and a briefcase containing assorted jewelry, according to incident reports.
Department spokesman Mark Brown said the suspects confronted the victims as they exited their vehicle.
One of the victims discharged a firearm at the suspects’ vehicle during the exchange. Brown subsequently added that a single shot was fired by the victim in self-defense during the robbery. No one was injured in the incident, Brown added.
Witness accounts indicate that the suspects were black males wearing dark colored masks, Brown said.
The suspects fled the scene in a silver four-door Toyota Camry, said Brown.
So far, the investigation has determined that this incident was a targeted robbery, and not a random act. It is believed that the victims were followed from a location outside of Fayette County, said Brown.
