The Fayette County Transfer Station (211 First Manassas Mile Road in Fayetteville) will be closed Saturday, Jan. 23.

No disposal of trash, yard waste, or mulch-loading will be allowed during this closure.

Recent heavy rains damaged the scales, and Waste Management will have contractors on site Saturday and Sunday to make repairs.

The Transfer Station will reopen Monday, Jan. 25, at 7 a.m.
