Reese earns Eagle Scout Award

Christian Reese earned the highest advancement award from the Boy Scouts of America – the Eagle Scout Award.

He is a member of Troop 201 in Fayetteville sponsored by Providence United Methodist Church, with Dan Kuchenbaker as scoutmaster. Christian’s scouting career began in 2008 as a Weblos Scout in Cub Scout Pack 2293 in Sharpsburg where he earned the Arrow of Light Award.

Christian is a senior at Fayette County High School where he is an active member of JROTC as well as the cross-country and soccer teams. Christian’s project benefited Fayette County High School. He and his group of volunteers built two picnic tables and four benches for use at the football stadium.

While in scouting, Christian experienced the Florida Sea Base High Adventure in Florida, the Northern Tier Expedition in Minnesota, and the National Jamboree in West Virginia. He is also a trained climbing instructor with the Flint River Council.

Christian has benefited greatly from the Boy Scouts of America and his Troop 201 family. He learned many important life skills and has become a mature and responsible adult through this training. After graduation, Christian intends to pursue a medical career and serve in the military.
