A Fayetteville man was one of two men charged with the Dec. 26 murder of a California man in Meriwether County.
Kanorris Shakeno Martin, 21, was charged with murder and aggravated assault and was booked into the Meriwether County Jail, according to news reports.
Also arrested on the same charges was 19-year-old Gay resident Xavier Rashad Slaton.
The incident involved a Dec. 26 shooting that killed California resident John Lamey and left another victim with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Ledger-Inquirer.com
The shooting occurred behind a residence in Greenville. Both suspects were arrested later in the day.
Meriwether County Sheriff Chuck Smith indicated that the shootings were not random and that the investigation is ongoing, media reports said.
