Glenn Othel Morgan, born September 23, 1935 passed away early morning Monday at the age of 80 from a sudden heart attack.
Glenn was a man of old fashioned morals. He believed his word and handshake was just as good as a signed contract. When a neighbor or friend needed help, he was there. He believed in hard work and at the same time made those around him enjoy it. He had a quick temper but a heart that was even quicker to forgive.
Glenn graduated from East Coweta High School in 1953 in a class of only 13. He then worked for Gulf Oil in Atlanta while attending Georgia State University at night. He started work for Delta Air Lines in June of 1959 and then retired from there in December of 1993. He then worked for Aviation Construction and later Robert and Company in Atlanta. At the age of 70 he finally retired for good and spent his time enjoying his family and hobbies which were golf, gardening, telling jokes, playing cards and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years Connie and children; Ted and his wife Terri Morgan of Fayetteville, Ga., Becky Goss of Newnan, Lisa Morgan of Fayetteville, Ga., grandchildren; Matthew (Mandy) Morgan of Smyrna Ga., Kacy (Chuck) Donathan of Hawaii, Andrew (Morgan) Morgan of Woodstock, Ga., Bayne (Devyn) Goss of Senoia Ga., Tyler (Aria) Morgan of Tampa, Fla., Trevor Morgan of Memphis, Tenn., and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers Jimmy Morgan of Senoia, Ga., and Ronald (Carol) Morgan of Conyers, Ga.
