B.E.G. Controls LP, the North American affiliate of Brück Electronic GmbH (B.E.G.), has chosen Peachtree City as the site for their North American Sales and Marketing operations.

According to a company statement, several locations in the Atlanta area were evaluated before the final selection was made.

“Peachtree City just had the right balance of location, experienced work force and high standards that we were looking for,” said Michael Johnson, V.P. of sales and operations.

B.E.G. Controls supplies motion and occupancy sensors for both commercial and residential applications and their sensors feature both traditional sensor technology and sensors that communicate using open standard building automation protocols.  The sensors are marketed both to the general public and to lighting fixture and control system manufacturers for integration into their product lines.

“We live in a much more connected world and building technology needs to reflect that.  Lighting and building automation components need to be able to communicate with each other regardless of brand.  This can only be achieved through the widespread adoption of open building communication protocols.” said Johnson.  “B.E.G. Controls is committed to the use and advancement of open protocols such as Dali, Zigbee and BACnet for lighting control applications.”
