Get a great start on Christmas shopping at the 26th annual Christmas Marketplace at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. The event is this Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
One of the church’s biggest events, the Marketplace will feature 90-plus unique vendors selling a large variety of items located throughout the entire church campus.
Sponsored by the United Methodist Women, all proceeds from the event will benefit the following local non-profit organizations: Bloom, AV Pride, Fayette Samaritans, Healing 4 Heroes, The Joseph Sams School, Pregnancy Resource Center, Promise Place, Square Foot Ministries, Fayette Care Clinic, as well as FFUMC’s Prison Ministry and Shawl Ministry. Homemade vegetable soup and chili dogs will be available at The Grill and homemade baked goods and candies will be sold in the Gingerbread House. A document shredding service will also be provided until noon for a minimal cost.
Shop the ever popular Timeless Treasures sale for gently used items including toys, furniture, collectibles, seasonal and home décor, books, music, housewares, sports equipment, man stuff and much more.
“Our Marketplace continues to grow every year. It is our largest annual fundraiser,” said Lauren Davis, president of the local United Methodist Women unit. “Most of our vendors offer unique, handmade items, so it’s always an adventure to shop the Marketplace. You never know what treasures you may find while supporting many great causes.”
