Ellen Chambers, 87, of Fayetteville, Ga. passed away on October 27, 2015.
She was a gifted piano player who used her talents for the Lord. She loved to talk about Jesus and her love for him. She was a Sunday school teacher; church piano player, and a believer in prayer.
Ellen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her son, William (Patricia) Chambers, Jr. of Fayetteville, Ga.; daughters, Deborah (Phil) Bowen of Fayetteville, Ga., Barbara Stanford of Brooks, Ga.; 4 grandchildren, Alex (Amber) Bowen, Katie Bowen, Delilah (Jacob) McBride, and Madison Stanford; 3 great granddaughters, Alayna Bowen, Ellieanna McBride, and Eliza McBride; sisters, Hellen (Johnny) Picklesimer of Williamson, Ga. and Betty Childers of Flowery Branch, Ga. Ellen is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William A. Chambers, Sr.; brothers, Forest Williams, Horace Williams, and Edward Williams; and sisters, Mozelle Rodgers, Elizabeth Gardner, and Evelyn Southern.
Funeral services were held at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, Ga. on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 11 a.m. The visitation was held one hour prior to the service. Burial followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park, Ga.
