Moon to speak to GOP women

The Greater Fayette Republican Women’s Club will meet Thursday, Nov. 12, at 6 pm at the Fayette Event Center, 174 North Glynn Street in Fayetteville. Following a light supper, Peachtree City Police Chief Janet Moon will speak.

Moon joined the Peachtree City Police Department Aug. 10 after serving as deputy chief of the Suwanee Police Department. She came to Peachtree City with a 30-year history in law enforcement and is a graduate of the U.S. Army Military Police School in Ft. McClellan, Ala., the Floyd College Police Academy in Rome; the Georgia Law Enforcement Command College in Columbus; and the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. She holds an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Floyd College in Rome, a bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, and a master’s in public administration from Columbus State University in Columbus.
