Pastor Larry Lystig (above center), of Word of God Lutheran Church, Peachtree City, recently celebrated 50 years in the ministry. The congregation honored Lystig and his wife Carolyn with a dinner, several commendations, music, and gifts on Sept. 20. Lystig’s long career in the ministry includes many years as a U.S. Navy chaplain and also as a pastor to many Lutheran congregations.
