Tonight, Wednesday, Sept. 30, Fayette Presbyterian Church will begin a four week series on Caring for an Older Adult, led by Pepe Bowman, who recently retired as registered nurse at Georgia Tech.

Bowman will be assisted by two other RNs, Vickie Jeffries and Emily Gurry.

Anyone in the community  is welcome to attend this series to learn more about care giving for older adults.

Main topics will be on our own successful aging, how to assess a loved one’s diminishing self-care, how to get outside help when you can’t manage by yourself any more, and how to decide if assisted living or a nursing home is needed.

HealthCare community speakers will teach, experienced RNs will facilitate discussion, videos, skits, and community sharing will help all learners. The series will close with information on End of Life Planning.

Wednesday evening programs for all ages, including this series, begin at 6:30 p.m.

Dinner with reservation is available at 5:30 p.m.

Fayette Presbyterian Church is at 791 Forrest Ave (Ga. Highway 92 N) in Fayetteville.
