Armed Forces Mission is one of 15 local charities that will benefit from the Gala Dinner with the Blue Angels in conjunction with the Great American Air Show this fall.

Tickets can be purchased at www.StandwithThem.com. A donation of $100 reserves one seat for the event. Suspense date for purchase is Oct. 15 in order to plan for the number of attendees. Consider purchasing a ticket for a veteran who would not otherwise be able to attend.

The event is Friday, Oct. 30, 6-9 p.m. in the VIP Pavilion at Falcon Field in Peachtree City.

Armed Forces Mission, founded in 2012, has established itself as a vital part of the veteran community of the Southern Crescent and is impacting the lives of troops and veterans nationwide. AFM has worked with more than 25,000 troops with a mission of building resilience and restoring hope through various initiatives to strengthen emotional, mental, and spiritual health.

AFM’s primary mission of suicide intervention and training has resulted in more than 120 lives directly saved through AFM staff. Additionally, many other lives have been saved through AFM’s I Will Intervene Challenge that has trained more than 2,200 community caregivers in the skills of crisis intervention. The I Will intervene Challenge offers one and two-day workshops in suicide intervention and mental health first-aid for all who want to learn the skills that are saving lives.

AFM’s latest initiative is the NO MORE SUICIDE Campaign, a grassroots movement to raise awareness throughout the community and our nation. Faith groups, schools and other community organizations are joining in the effort to address the issues of suicide.

If you prefer to pay by check: Make payable to “Armed Forces Mission” for “GALA” PO BOX 1101 Tyrone GA 30290.
