The Republican Party monthly breakfast will be Saturday, Sept. 12, at the FCRP Event Center, 174 Glynn Street N. in Fayetteville.

The regularly scheduled date of the first Saturday of the month has been changed because of the Labor Day holiday weekend.

Speakers at the breakfast will be the candidates running in the special election for the District 5 seat on the Fayette County Board of Commissioners left vacant by the untimely death of Commissioner Pota Coston.

The event is open to the public. A continental breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m. for a $5 charge, with the speakers beginning at 9 a.m.
