Rotary Clubs on the south side of Atlanta have joined together to raise money for children in need in south metro Atlanta.
The Lexus Rotary Raffle was officially launched recently at a kickoff event at Lexus of South Atlanta, where General Manager Sid Barron welcomed Rotary Club presidents along with hosts and volunteers of the 9th annual Chair-ity fundraising event. “We are glad to make this new Lexus SUV available to raise funds to help children in this area. The Children’s Village is an important place that we are honored to support.” Barron said.
For a chance to win a new Lexus NX 200t, purchase raffle tickets online at www.rotarycares4kids.org. Tickets are $25 each or five for $100. The drawing will take place at the annual Chair-ity event Dec. 3 at The Dolce in Peachtree City.
Phil Kouns, COO of The Children’s Village, expressed his gratitude at the kickoff event. “Fundraising programs like this car raffle make such a difference for The Children’s Village at Christian City. Because of faithful support from the community, we are able to minister to the needs of abused and abandoned children who now live safely on our campus,” Kouns said.
The Children’s Village at Christian City is a 501(c)3 non-profit located near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. For 50 years, The Children’s Village has offered life services and a safe haven for children in crisis, aged 5-18. The majority of the children who come to the residential program have been victims of abuse, neglect, or abandonment.
