I am at a loss at how the Fayetteville Post Office can allow living, breathing creatures to be sent through the mail. I was at the post office yesterday and heard constant chirping. I was told it was chicks being sent through the mail.
How in the world can this process be legal? In this heat, in a box, sent through the mail. What about food, water, air? This is a disturbing practice. Of all the items we are not allowed to send through the mail, how is this not considered animal cruelty.
I asked how this was legal and was only given the answer, “It happens all the time.” This is a cruel practice and I would like to see it stopped by the post office.
