Georgia Department of Transportation projects to improve highway infrastructure throughout metro Atlanta continue this weekend, weather permitting. Construction projects on the Downtown Connector and I-285 will require lane closures, which, in turn, are likely to result in delays. Motorists are advised to exercise caution by reducing speed while driving through work zones.

Planned work this weekend is as follows:
· On I-75/I-85, three southbound lanes will close from the Brookwood Split to the Grady Curve from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday for striping;
· The same work will require three lane closures on I-75/I-85 northbound from Freedom Parkway to North Avenue from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday;
· Traffic will shift on the I-75/I-85 southbound ramp to I-20 eastbound from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday. The interchange will remain open during work;
· On I-285, one northbound lane will close from SR 260/ Glenwood Road to Northlake Parkway and three southbound lanes will close from the U.S. 78 interchange to SR 260/ Glenwood Road from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday;
· Work on I-285 northbound will require two lane closures from SR 6/ Camp Creek Parkway to Cascade Road and from Bolton Road to South Atlanta Road continuously from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday
· Two southbound lanes will close on I-285 from South Atlanta Road to Bolton Road and SR 139/ Martin Luther King Jr. Drive to SR 6/ Camp Creek Parkway from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday;
· On I-285, two eastbound lanes will close from Glenridge Drive to GA (State Route) 400 from 7:30 p.m., Friday until 7 a.m., Saturday;
· Two northbound and two southbound lanes will close on Georgia (State Route) 400 at Northridge Road continuously from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday;
· Two lanes will close on GA (State Route) 400 southbound from Lenox Road to Sidney Marcus Boulevard from 8 a.m., until 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday;
· On I-20, three eastbound lanes will close from Langhorn Street to McDaniel Street from 9 p.m., Friday, until 5 a.m., Monday;
· Two lanes will close on I-20 eastbound from Six Flags Parkway to Fulton Industrial Boulevard from 9 p.m., Friday, until 5 a.m., Monday;
· Two westbound lanes on I-20 will close from Alcovy Road to SR 12/US 278 from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday;
· Bridge work on Spaghetti Junction will require one lane closure on the I-85 southbound ramp to I-285 eastbound from 9 p.m., Friday, until 5 a.m., Monday;
· One lane will close on the I-85 northbound ramp to I-285 westbound from 9 p.m., Friday, until 5 a.m., Monday;
· One lane will also close on the I-85 northbound ramp to I-285 eastbound from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday
· One lane will close on the I-285 eastbound ramp to I-85 southbound from 9 p.m., Friday, until 5 a.m., Monday;
· On U.S. 78, two eastbound lanes will close from the I-285 interchange to Mountain Industrial Boulevard and two westbound lanes will close from Memorial Drive to Brockett Road nightly from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday;
· The Express Lanes project will require a pacing operation on I-75 southbound at the I-285 interchange from 12 a.m. until 1 a.m., Saturday;
· On I-75 northbound, the Express Lanes project will also require one lane closure from Windy Hill Road to SR 280/ Delk Road from 9 p.m., Friday until 10 a.m., Saturday;
· The Express Lanes project will also require one lane closure on I-575 northbound at Bells Ferry Road from 9 p.m., Friday until 10 a.m., Saturday;
· Lastly, the Express Lanes project will require one lane closure on I-285 westbound at the I-75 interchange from 9 p.m., Friday until 10 a.m., Saturday;
· Work on the South Metro Express Lanes will require one lane closure on I-75 southbound from the I-675 interchange to Mt. Zion Boulevard continuously from 9 p.m., Friday until 7 a.m., Monday for sign work;
· The same work will require one lane closure on I-75 northbound from the I-675 interchange to Mt. Zion Boulevard continuously from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday;
· One northbound lane will close on I-75 from SR 20/ SR 81 to Jonesboro Road continuously from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday;
· Pipeline construction will require one lane closure at SR 237/Piedmont Road and Habersham Road from 8 a.m., until 5 p.m., Saturday;
· One lane will close on SR 10/ Freedom Parkway at US 78/US 278/ Ponce de Leon Avenue daily from 8 a.m., until 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday;
· On SR 154/ Memorial Drive, one lane will close between Moreland Avenue and Wilkinson Drive and one lane will close on SR 154/ Memorial Drive between East Lake Drive and Candler Road both closures are from 9 a.m., until 3 p.m., Saturday; and finally
· One lane will close on SR 155/Candler Road from McAfee Road to Whites Mill Road from 9 a.m., until 4 p.m., Saturday for sidewalk work.
