Older folks need history lesson about Rebel flag

Today, there is a big argument about the Confederate flag. Some people say it symbolizes hate. Well, let’s look into the history books.

The original Confederate flag looked too much like the “Union” American flag, which made the same sides attack each other. So, they changed it to today’s Confederate flag.

Let’s see the whole idea of this, history. History happened in the past. People died because of what they believed in. Strong, proud Southerners who love and enjoyed the Confederate flag, must be really disappointed. The cause of this, the media.

Let’s not be greedy and think about yourselves. Look at what this is doing to children’s education. Turning history the wrong way. Trying to change history.

The adults are warping us kids, the “next generation,” into believing that the Confederate flag symbolizes hate. That is not what we learn in school. Surely teachers know that. Still it is the media doing this.

Let’s say that boy that killed 9 people was holding an American flag or another country’s flag. What would happen then? Just think, what has America come to?
