The Fayetteville Police Department arrested four males for a brazen late Thursday morning robbery at the Fayetteville Kay Jewelers, according to Lieutenant Mike Whitlow in a June 25 news release.
At approximately 11:30 a.m., three males walked into the Kay Jewelers at 115 Pavilion Parkway, smashed the jewelry case with a hammer, grabbed several pieces of jewelry and ran out of the store, Whitlow said.
Several witnesses observed the males run to and enter a gray Ford Fusion, driven by a fourth male, and called 911, Whitlow said.
At approximately 11:37 a.m., an alert Fayetteville patrol officer observed the vehicle on Ga. Highway 85 near Banks Road and along with several backup units apprehended all four suspects in the vehicle, Whitlow said.
Fayetteville Police obtained evidence from the robbery inside the vehicle. All four males — Christian Wright, 23 of Doraville; Clarence Dow-Owens, 18, of Riverdale; Quintaveus Samples, 17, of Riverdale; and Legend Bridges, 19, of College Park — are currently in the Fayette County jail and will be charged with robbery by snatching and criminal damage to property, Lt. Whitlow said.
