Several local organizations are teaming up to host a Back to School Expo Saturday, July 18, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the county administrative complex, 140 Stonewall Ave. West in Fayetteville.
In addition to fun games and free food, there will be on-site immunizations for children and health screening checks. Parents have the opportunity to sign up for lunch programs, afterschool programs, and learn information about PTO as well as volunteer opportunities.
LifeSouth will also be conducting an on-site blood drive. There will be information available on staying healthy at school, managing asthma and diabetes, and as well as tutoring and enrichment programs.
Law enforcement will be on hand to provide youth program information, complete fingerprinting and safety checks and share general service information. Additional community organizations, from healthcare to athletics, will be there to share information on their services for families and children.
