A Company of Friends Theatrical Productions has announced auditions for its first annual talent show, “Night of Stars.” All performers ages 8 years through mature adults are encouraged to audition for this evening of talent to compete for cash prizes and recognition.
Singers, dancers, actors, jugglers, comics, musicians, etc. are being sought to take part in the show as solo, partner or group acts.
Auditions are scheduled for Monday, July 6, at the Fayetteville Train Depot at 250 Lanier Ave. E. with talent ages 8-12 arriving at 4:30 p.m., ages 13-17 at 6 p.m. and 18-up at 7:30 p.m. Auditioning performers need to have ready up to two minutes of their proposed act/talent.
Up to 20 acts will be chosen to take part in “Night of Stars” scheduled for Thursday, July 16, at 7 p.m. Each age group category will be awarded first-, second- and third-place cash prizes and be recognized on the ACOF Talent Show plaque displayed at the Train Depot.
A $12 entrance fee is required for all those accepted into the show. Final show judges will not be associated with ACOF and will be qualified artists from the community.
There is a mandatory run-thru/rehearsal scheduled for Wednesday, July 15, 6-9 p.m. which all those cast in the show must be available to attend. For more information contact ACOF’s director, Tammy Barton, at 770-599-0051 or acofdirector1@gmail.com.
Show tickets can be reserved starting July 8 by calling 770-251-7611 or e-mailing gt1943@numail.org and are $12. If tickets remain at showtime they will be available at the door for $14. Seating is extremely limited and making reservations is highly suggested.
