A month after celebrating its golden anniversary, Christian City continues to receive praise for its long-term service ministering to the needs of children and senior adults.

Recent recognitions include proclamations from both the Fayette and Fulton County commissions, and a Community Catalyst Award from the 13th Annual South Metro Development Outlook.

At the State Capitol, Christian City garnered yet another notable achievement from the House of Representatives.  State Rep. Virgil Fludd saluted Bob Crutchfield, Christian City President/CEO, for his 22 years of leadership in the life-changing ministries.

“With God’s help and the help of the community, we’ve been able to do the work that we have been called to do,” Crutchfield said. “We look forward to another 50 years of being a community of faith serving those in need.”

Crutchfield was also presented with the CornerStone Award from the South Fulton Chamber of Commerce for his commendable years of service.

Christian City is a non-profit located in Union City.  The 500 acre campus is home to a full continuum of care for seniors including multiple housing options, a nursing and rehabilitation center, and an Alzheimer’s unit.  The Children’s Village at Christian City offers life services and a safe haven to once-abandoned, abused and neglected children ages 5-17.  It also operates a Safe Place Project program for runaway and homeless youths.
