Mrs. Sybil Piper Kay, age 77, of Sharpsburg passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015.
In her wake she left a legacy of being a loving, caring, and passionate wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt. As a member of McDonough Road Baptist Church, where she taught preschool, and served in the nursery department, she devoted her time and passion for God to impact the lives of all that surrounded her. She will forever be cherished by her late husband, Benny Kay and is survived by her daughters, Lynn Laywell and her husband Ed of Glasgow, Ky., Cynthia Kay-Morris of Sharpsburg; sister, Jane Brown of Williamson; brother, Ron Piper and his wife Colleen of Fayetteville; grandson, Matt Kilgore and his wife Chrissy of Charlotte, N.C.; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Rev. David Smith officiating.
