A Roswell man has been charged with child molestation in connection with incidents in mid-2014 involving an underage Fayetteville girl to whom he is related.

Daniele Racioppa, 32, was charged with three counts of child molestation and one count of cruelty to children, according to Fayette County Jail records.

Fayetteville Det. Mike Whitlow said Racioppa in three separate incidents during a one-day period in July 2014 is accused of molesting a female relative in her early teens.

The incidents happened at Racioppa’s home while the girl was visiting, Whitlow said.

Whitlow said the victim is currently experiencing severe emotional trauma.

Whitlow said the crime was originally reported to a friend who then passed the information to the girl’s family.
