Fayetteville police investigators are looking for a suspect in the Jan. 2 armed robbery at the Shell gas station and convenience store at 485 Bradley Drive.
Det. Mike Whitlow said a black male entered the store at approximately 8:20 p.m., proceeded behind the counter and pointed silver revolver at the clerk.
“The male then demanded all of the money from the register. The clerk handed the suspect the money and he fled on foot north from the store towards a car wash,” Whitlow said.
Fayetteville police and Fayette County deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. It is believed he had a vehicle waiting nearby, said Whitlow.
Whitlow said the suspect is described as a black male, late 20’s to early 30’s, 5’11”-6’ in height, 170-175 lbs. and wearing gray jeans, a dark blue or black jacket, white women’s sunglasses, white flat bottom tennis shoes and a black baseball cap with a bird logo.
Fayetteville Police are examining evidence located at the scene as well as the surveillance video from the incident.
Anyone with information on the identity of this suspect is encouraged to contact the Fayetteville Police Department at 770-461-4441.
