The Higher Ground Group, comprised of an assembly of four long-time Atlanta faith leaders who share common experiences and lead positive change, will explore what it means to be a person of faith within a diverse social system via a panel discussion entitled “Christians, Jews and Muslims: Let’s talk — Opening the dialogue amongst all peoples of faith.”

The event will be hosted by and held in the sanctuary of Newnan Presbyterian Church on Thursday, Nov. 6 from 7 – 8 p.m. and is an initiative led by Hasco Craver, City of Newnan’s business development director.

The panel discussion will be introduced by Harry Barrow, senior pastor, Newnan Presbyterian, and moderated by Alicia Philipp, president, The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, who will lead the discussion to further explore:

• Building a trusted space for listening and growth;

• Social implications of being a person of faith; and

• Building a foundation of knowledge to combat faith biases.

Groups from all faith institutions and walks of life are encouraged to attend.

Faith-based but not faith-biased, Higher Ground examines the issues and challenges of today and demonstrates that humanity can work together despite differences to create a stronger community. Read their blog here: www.highergroundgroup.org.
