A north Fayette County was robbed at gunpoint by two men and beaten in front of his home on Oct. 21. Sheriff’s investigators are asking for the community’s help in identifying the men.
Sheriff Barry Babb said a 35-year-old Fayette resident on Greenview Circle in the Kenwood Landing Mobile Home Park on Oct. 21 at approximately 11:15 p.m. was approached outside his vehicle in his driveway after returning home from work by two black males, one brandishing a black handgun.
Babb said the male pointed the handgun at the victim demanding money.
“The victim argued with the perpetrators and was struck on the left side of his face twice causing lacerations to his face and left ear,” said Babb. “The victim then gave his wallet to the male with the handgun which contained cash, his consulate I.D. card, driver’s license and a debit card.”
The two males then left the scene in a black SUV as the victim ran to a neighbor’s house for assistance, Babb said. Fayette County EMS arrived and treated the victim’s injuries on scene, Babb added.
Sheriff’s investigators are currently working the incident and are asking anyone with information to call the Criminal Investigations Division at 770-716-4750.
