Lawanda Jean Corley, 65, of Roswell, Ga. passed away on September 23, 2014 following a lengthy illness.
She was born on October 17, 1948 in St. Petersburg, Fla. to Herman Otto and Margie Eugenia DuBose. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Allan Corley of Birmingham, Ala. and second husband, William Bonds of Docena, Ala.
She is survived by her brother, William (Bill) DuBose of Talladega, Ala.; sister, Patricia (Patsy) Feher of Verbena, Ala.; daughter, Shannon Leigh Dyess of Peachtree City, Ga.; two granddaughters, Chelsea Noel Dyess and Ashleigh Mimms Dyess also of Peachtree City, Ga.; and her “bestest” friend, Anna Knight of Alto, Ga.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2014 in the chapel at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, Ga.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
