The community is invited to Providence United Methodist Church this Sunday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. for a church fair with information about ministries, classes and special events for the fall.
Senior Pastor Diane Parrish explains, “We are very excited about everything that’s going on and want to make sure we share that information. Before and after worship services everyone can browse tables with information about all children’s ministries, student ministries, adult ministries and new Bible studies and classes. There are also several new special events coming up this fall and everyone is invited to those as well.”
Children’s Ministry Director Cathy Fralish adds, “We have some fun games for kids, giveaways to take home from each ministry and will be providing a free lunch at noon.”
In addition to new Bible studies and classes starting up in the next few weeks, special fall events at Providence include: a new ministry for single parents which starts Sept. 7; a new ministry for young moms that begins Sept. 10; a Friday evening of live praise and worship music on Sept. 26; and the Women’s Ministry Kick-Off on Sept. 30.
October’s events include a Blessing of the Animals Service on Oct. 4; “Keeping Your Marriage Fresh” marriage enrichment seminar Oct. 17-18, and Trunk or Treat Oct. 29.
In December, events include an Advent by Candlelight ladies’ event on Dec. 1 and 2, and a Christmas musical called, “Baby Brother Jesus” on Dec. 12 and 13.
Providence is at 592 Bernhard Road, Fayetteville in southern Fayette County between Redwine Road and Ga. Hwy 85.
