Tyler Gabriel Liebl, age 16, of Newnan, GA went to meet his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 30th, surrounded by loving family and friends.
Tyler lived an exemplary life in service to others and to his Lord. He was very active in his church community. He loved spending time with church youth group friends and Thursday night prayer group. He loved snowboarding and was a member of Snowboarders and Skiers for Christ and was one of the top 10 finalists in the 2014 Dew Games.
Tyler was also a member of the USA Skier and Snowboarder Association. He was a Lacrosse goalie and played football, soccer, basketball, and was a member of the YMCA Sea Lion Swim Team. Tyler also successfully competed in ballroom dancing for 5 years. He loved surfing, jet skiing and off-road driving. Tyler also greatly enjoyed painting and photography, as well as horseback riding. He was a student at Northgate High School and CEC.
Tyler excelled in his studies, being on the All Scholars list and was eagerly anticipating studying engineering at Virginia Tech or UVA. Tyler was a young man who loved ministering to others and tried to live his life as a positive role model for others.
Tyler is survived by his mother, Janece Risty, his father, Randy and Teresa Liebl, sister, Avery, grandparents Roger and Julie Risty, Mel and Mary Liebl, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as his beloved best friend Stephanie Becham.
Visitation was Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, August 4, 2014 at Cathedral of Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church in Sharpsburg, Ga. Interment followed at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City, Ga.
Tyler’s family is overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and prayers for Tyler. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Tim Tebow Foundation or Shriner’s Hospitals for children.
