Finishing out the summer series at Southern Ground Amphitheater in Fayetteville on Aug. 9 is the Charlie Daniels Band.

Effortlessly blending country, gospel and southern rock, this outspoken patriot escalated to worldwide fame in the 70s and 80s. You’ve been living under a rock if you don’t remember “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” and other crowd favorites include “In America,” and “Long Haired Country Boy.” Opening for Charlie Daniels is Nashville-based singer, Jacob Powell.

From his Dove Award winning gospel albums to his genre-defining Southern rock anthems and his CMA Award-winning country hits, few artists have left a more indelible mark on America’s musical landscape than Charlie Daniels.

A beloved mentor to young artists and still a road warrior at age 76, Charlie has parlayed his passion for music into a multi-platinum career and a platform to support the military, underprivileged children and others in need.

A few tickets still remain at $45. Tickets to all shows are available via the website at SouthernGroundAmp.com and at the Historic Courthouse in Downtown Fayetteville.

The Southern Ground Amphitheater is owned by the Downtown Development Authority and managed by the Main Street Tourism Association of Fayetteville.
