Coweta County voters in local contested races on May 20 chose incumbents Amy Dees and Harry Mullins and first-time candidate Linda Menk in the county’s three contested races for seats on the Coweta County Board of Education.
The District 1 race featured incumbent Amy Dees and challenger Monica Terrell. Dees took 66.67 percent of the vote compared to 31.75 percent for Terrell.
The District 3 race saw incumbent Harry Mullins squaring off against challenger Jan Horne. Mullins ended the night with 59.59 percent of the vote while Horne took 39.99 percent.
The District 4 race had incumbent Graylin Ward pitted against challenger Linda Menk. It was Menk who prevailed with 57.57 percent of the vote compared to 41.88 percent for Ward.
