Mr. and Mrs. Mike Moore of Brooks, Ga. are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Mary Elizabeth Moore to Mr. Brett Thomas LaBrecque, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bryan LaBrecque of Peachtree City Ga.
The bride-to-be is the grand-daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Moore of Florence, Ala. and Bill Cobb and the late Betsy Cobb of Mobile, Ala.
Mary is a 2005 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2009 graduate of Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Affairs and a minor in History. She was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. Mary has worked as a Department of the Army Civilian and as a Consultant for The Department of Defense in Washington D.C. and is now a business analyst in the merchandising department of the Books-A-Million Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham, Ala.
The groom-to-be is the grandson of Shirley Blowers of Greensboro, Ga. and Mr. and Mrs. William LaBrecque of Shelton, Conn. and Mr. and Mrs. James Burel of Peachtree City, Ga.
Brett is a 2005 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School and a 2009 graduate of Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering. In 2010 he earned a Master of Science Degree from Georgia Tech in Health Systems Engineering. He was a member of Theta Xi Fraternity. Brett will graduate in May, 2014 from the Medical College of Georgia as a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and begin his pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Alabama in Birmingham.
The wedding will be held on Saturday, June 7th at the Haralson United Methodist Church in Haralson, Ga. Reception to follow at Sunny D. Farms in Williamson, Ga.
