Mrs. Saundra W. Wise, 75, of Newnan, passed away April 19, 2014. She died peacefully, surrounded by her family, confident in the knowledge of Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.
Born in Greensboro, N.C. on March 9, 1939, she was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. As a graduate of Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. in 1961, with a B.S. in education, she was an avid educator. Her favorite things to do were spending time with her family, cooking, entertaining, volunteering at church, playing bridge and watching the Atlanta Braves.
She was preceded in death by her father William A. Way, II.
She is survived by her husband Ronald L. Wise of Newnan; daughters Robin DeMaio of Newnan and Ashley Helvig of Fayetteville; mother Bonnie Lee Way; brother William A. Way III; sister-in-law Brenda Way and grandchildren Kirk DeMaio, Frank DeMaio, Danielle DeMaio, Andrew Helvig and Abigail Helvig.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 25, 2014 from 6 until 8 p.m. and also prior to the service on Saturday, April 26th from 1 until 2 p.m at Word of God Lutheran Church, 303 Kelly Drive, Peachtree City, Ga. 30269. The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 26th at 2 p.m. at the same location.
