William L. “Bill” Tinsley, 65, of Senoia passed away Friday, November 1, 2013 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.  He was born April 16, 1948 in Newnan to William B. Tinsley, Jr.  & the late Joyce Morgan Tinsley.

Bill grew up in Senoia and was a member of Sharpsburg Baptist Church.  He worked for Delta Airlines for over 34 years as a machinist and later helped coordinate and manage the Delta Museum. Bill’s ability to repair anything mechanical was known by neighbors & friends afar.  He helped establish “Big T” Community airstrip and enjoyed flying the airplane that he restored.   

The funeral is Monday, November 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Sharpsburg Baptist Church, 6413 Hwy 54, Sharpsburg with Dr. Watson Mills & Dr. Wallace McAbee officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The visitation is Sunday afternoon between 4:00-7:00 at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St, Newnan.

Survivors include wife, Gloria Hahn Tinsley; father, William Tinsley & wife Martha; son, Alex Tinsley & wife Michelle; daughter, Natalie Tinsley Mrozek & husband Steve; step-sons, Bob Clay, Jeffrey Clay & wife Meredith; brother, Bob Tinsley & wife Nancy; sister, Peggy Tinsley Hall & husband Gary; step-brother, Tim Massengale & wife Carla; step-sister, Sharon Ragan & husband Ricky; grandchildren, Crystal Tinsley, Chassie Tinsley, Andrew Tinsley, Taylor Clay, Davis Clay, Jenna Clay; beloved dogs, Buddy & Mitzi; and a host of other extended relatives including aunt, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
